When planning our trip to Utah and Arizona earlier this year, we had friends mention that The White Pocket was incredible and a must see if possible. It's in the same area as The Wave which is very popular (and very crowded) that I believe you can only see via a lottery each day because it's so busy.

However, The White Pocket is very similar with one exception, it's hard to get to! To say it's off the beaten path would be an understatement. You have to traverse more than 20 miles of dirt roads and 10 of those are in deep sand.

Now I'm not much for big crowds and for me, the bigger part of the adventure is getting to the destination, so this was right up my alley.

I scoured the Internet to find as much info as I can and then went into my GPS routing software called Gaia to make my route. I'm glad I did as it was pretty easy to follow.

This is right at the Arizona / Utah border and it was one of the most incredible experiences I've had. If you have the means and ability to get here, this comes with an extremely high recommendation. IT WAS AWESOME!
